Taining China Taining China

This photo is March 6, 2010, I went to China's AAAA-class tourist attractions - Great Lake (Taining China) play when photographed the scenery. Cloudy day, poor lighting, coupled with the quality of digital cameras and photography issues, photo looks a little gloomy. Because I want to say in this tutorial is how to deal with cloudy days into sunny photo effects.

Step 1 -- Levels adjustment photos

First, Open the photo of the original image, duplicate layer, we use "curves" tool, adjust the brightness of photos.

Image > Adjustments > Curves ( Ctrl + M )

Curves

As the lack of day light, resulting in unsatisfactory color photos, and now need to add some color to it.

Image > Adjustments > Vibrance

At this point, the effect is much better than the original image it.

Step 2 -- Draw clouds in the sky, white clouds blossoming

Using photoshop CS5 new improved tools "Quick selection tool", select the part of the sky.

Color scheme according to the figure

According to their own needs, select Clouds Photoshop Brushes

Step 4 -- Painting a lake effect

Here we can see, the sky is blue sky, but the lake is muddy color. We know that sunlight refracted into the seven colors through the prism, the refractive index of water and sky for blue-violet light through, so water should be blue-purple look. Here, we have to use photo filter function to achieve.

Select "Quict Selection Tool"

Image > Adjustments > Photo Filter

If you think this is also not achieve results, you can make another effect.

add a layer style, color overlay

Then, we need to make a sky cloud lake reflection.

Select Clouds Layer, Layer Via Copy ( Ctrl+J )

Edit > Tarnsform > Flip Vertical

Step 5 -- Enhanced color photo

In the figure, you can see on the left of the plant color distortion, it sounds a bit yellowish.

Image > Adjustments > Exposure

Image > Adjustments > Replace Color

Image > Adjustments > color balance

Step 6 -- Removal of the forest edge of the burr

Select "Quick selection tool", Selected parts of the forest

Select > Refine Edge ( Photoshop CS5 Improved Functionality )

Select View Mode> On Black

We can see a black background, white edge of the forest shows burr. We can choose "Refine Radius Tool" or "Erase Refinerments Tool" to remove excess burr

To make the edge of the forest and the sky background is more integration, the need for the edge to Feather

Narrow constituency, Select > Modify > Contract

Select > Modify > Feather

Remove unnecessary part

Of course, if you are not satisfied with the results, you can re-treatment. We are here to just teach you a method, not the details of the perfect treatment.

Seems like an excellent tutorial! But unfortunately, it is not written for the beginners. I have searched all over the net, help files and books, but no one uses the term "Vector mark". So I have stuck there and have no idea what is it for, and how to add it... :)
